information would you groove the stitching line as well? to recess the thread into the leather itself? or would you leave it proud?... or alternatively.... doesnt it matter? Its easier to groove then u can follow it with a overstitcher. if i came across something that i needed sheathed.. would you ...

Thanks guys :) Ogami.... could you make sheaths for existing blades? reason being.... i cant! would be nice to have someone on hand that could do some nice work with leather. cus at the moment, im stuck with kydex, G10, wood, and other random thermoplastics! or would you consider teaching (for a fee...

Thanks :), can`t take credit for the design tho found that on the web. I was thinking of tribal tattoo`s and found this one that i thought would fit this sheath.

Knife sheath

I got a commission to make a bowie sheath, i don`t have the knife just a drawing of the blade. Made it of 3 layers of leather.
It`s done now, i hope he`s happy with the result and that it fits. :)

Thanks Guys. I glue with Bison-Tix which is a gel glue http://www.skladfarb.pl/hurtownia/strona_skald/01b.JPG , so it does not drip like normal Bison glue. When i have done one end side of the leather i put tape one in to keep it clean from glue. Done`t know the name of the tape in English, but its ...

My new DIY scabbard.

Hi, i made a new scabbard for my Odin/Atrim Darkhawk.

Its made of poplar wood with felt inlay, couch leather on top and handtooled leather swordbelt.

I have seen it done with the latest scabbards he makes.

The old ones where all leather over wooden core.

Saw this yesterday from the guy who this scabbard is from.

I think they are metal, i have seen C.F. use that to on one of his work.
Its a much easier fabrication.
