there's a lot of trolls on the internet :D

swords are not just meant for people with martial arts training, otherwise BUK wouldn't be in business anymore to be perfectly honest.

yes... but were not talking about the person, which is a different conversation... were talking about the weapon itself! which is the main basis the court will use in deciding if you used excessive force or not. if you're just some average joe with a golf club, a court would probably lenient. if yo...

in this conversation... your talking about self defence. sword sports dont come into it, bar the passing resembalance of a training tool. in the courts eyes, a bokken is a shaped piece of wood... same as a baseball bat, and broom stave, and whatever. also, in this context, were talking about legal,...

tbh i don't think a ban will happen.

they'd have to start banning things like meat cleavers, gardening tools, wilderness survival gear, etc. and things would probably just become sold under different descriptions and such even if they were to try to enforce a ban.

Re: kubotan

1)firstly am i right to assume its perfectly legal to carry a STANDARD kubotan(i.e no spikes or blades) as far as i'm aware this part is correct... for self defence purposes on one's self without having to worry about being arrested in the UK but this part isn't. you'd have to be able to claim that...

with a nicer design i think that it'd look good (the skull looks craptastic though). i'd like to see the end product with it actually on a sword though.

i personally am really pleased about the smoking ban. the only alternative i can think of would some sort of mandatory ventilation/air conditioning systems in public places to remove all the smoke. i don't think any such machine exists though that can effectively filter out all the smoke, so it's no...
