japanese water stones

Are these good for getting a burr out of a carbon steel blade. Available from alot of large art shops. Whats the deal y'all, to use a phrase, on the water stones? I can get them in 1000 and 6000 grain.

Re: got a tamahagane sword before ban

You will be proven wrong. My cantonese teacher knows alot of sifus, and normal students of martial arts like hung gar etc. You are nothing but a cocky braggart Donkey, running your mouth on people you know little about. This is the way I see it. Repeating your stupid dogma and rhetoric will not ensu...

Re: New Consultation to ban all swords

I mean the patience in learning, hopefully can be put toward iaido. I know I am going to have fun, and I have seen a dojo that suits me however there are no spaces atm. It's just 15 minutes walk from my house. I've visited 3 dojos, including Hagakure. I ended up choosing kashiwa, the one 15 mins awa...

Re: New Consultation to ban all swords

"Knowledge is like Jam the less you got the more you spread it" is this one you made up? you're right about me with respect to iai.I should know better. I've been learning cantonese for over 2 years, so hopefully this quality I can put toward iaido. this is the human condition, we try and spread our...

Re: New Consultation to ban all swords

feel sorry for you, in a supportive way. i mean for iai i found out that as long as the teacher deems it to be well constructed enough, a sword can be used for practice. i didn't know this. it's the nihonto which are used for gradings so i am told. one can save for a japanese made sword, however at ...
