i have the Sakura Samurai Sword that is a nice dark blue.

and is sharp i have cut many water bottles and carboard boxes cuts very well not a mark on it and is still in tip top shape great value for the money :).

the 'Bamboo Mat' has the best looking blade I have ever seen the harmon is 2nd to none my fav like it better than the busido one :)).
plus if you look on you tube theres a vid all about the matt/liondog,

a lot of kotos katanas in the £100 or below are has a rule are 1045.

the one you have comeing is a very nice sword worth every penney :)).
I would say that its 1095 or 1060 with it being folded. but nothing wrong with 1045 ive cut bottles no probs if ya cutting tec is good :)).

I would be very careful buying stuff from china done it put an order in for 4 swords only 1 turned up a mouth later 3 missing and not the best sword ive got looks nothing like it was on there web site. ended up getting all my cash back from pay pal has they never did respond to any email I sent them...

just got the koto yakamashi from blades the one £85 to clear worth every penny the photos dont do it any justice can not belive how well made it feels and looks the blade has no hamon but myself not seen a blade style like it before it starts in a bohi a little bit then changes and on one side a wha...

yep i clean and reoil after cutting.
most people do recomend Renaissance Wax but myself dont use has its not recomended with blades with an harmon.
but all oils on the blades site will be fine but myself i just nip to the hardware shop down the road for can of 3in 1 oil.

if it was me The Paul Chen Practical Katana with ease :).
and for my oil i use 3 in 1 that you can buy from most places.
