I saw this in the swords section and I must say it's tempting me. Does anyone have it and does it come with a scabbard?

Re: Purchasing first Functional Sword
Personally I would go for either one of the deluxe katana's or the clay bronze katana just purely for aesthetic reasons, although if you're thinking about doing any serious cutting then i've heard you can't go wrong with the paul chen practical range.

Re: some questions about purchase a sword
In the UK you don't need a licence to buy a traditionally handforged katana. Blades UK is without a doubt the best site in the UK to buy a reasonably priced sword and the shipping will only be something like a few days. Also from what i've heard the Practical plus is a very good sword.

Re: To Kill Bill or Not to Kill Bill......
I'm the same dogs was lame after all the hype about ear cutting it was so over rated, jackie brown boring, pulp fiction was meh, kill bill is crappy and inglourious bastards pointless. Go watch chocolate if you want to see a woman kick arse or azumi. All I can say is you have no taste in movies. ;)...

Re: hand painted bamboo katana
I think you're probably right, I've always prefered those types of hamon to the wavier ones

Re: hand painted bamboo katana
I'm not really into the acid enhanced ones either like on the chen practical plus, yeah the blade is quite beefy but very light

Re: hand painted bamboo katana
it's harder then you'd think to get a good pic of the hamon, too much light and it will glare off the blade. i'll try and take some better pics sometime
