Re: Fully Functional Swords + Folded/Tempered

"Hand forged, high carbon steel, full tang, double pegged and fully functional" certainly doesn't mean I'll be chopping down trees but for £65, I'm not complaining! :D

Re: Fully Functional Swords + Folded/Tempered

Got the Sword of Hiro, btw, and love the feel of it, nicely balanced and weight not too excessive. Don't know about that cheap plastic golden squiggle in the middle of the handle (Tsuka?), may take that off but for the money I think it's a cracking sword, well pleased!

Thanks, will do. Didn't want to phone until I knew exactly what I wanted to order but the choice is huge!
Hope to narrow the list down by tomorrow.

2) full tang construction?
3) don't do Facebook so any way of seeing the imperfection photos here?

Thanks again!

Re: Fully Functional Swords + Folded/Tempered

Thanks for the replies. Was thinking up to £200 ish to begin with. Did narrow down to the Sword of Hiro as superb value for money but specifically that it was double pegged, full tang with hand forged 1060 steel and listed as fully functional. The Paul Chen ppk (practical plus katana??) looks a very...

Fully Functional Swords + Folded/Tempered

Question please - when, in your description, you say "fully functional martial artists sword" , are you saying that these swords are more robust than the ones without that description ie they can be used and/or are better in training etc? Also, when viewing the folded swords, there's no mention of s...

Re: Very Green!

Many thanks!

Have already got a list of possibilities after trawling the site, heck of a lot to chose from. Will certainly be taking advantage of some of the special offers. Perhaps best to call after the Easter break..?

Very Green!

Hi all - just joined up as I suspect I'll be purchasing quite a few items on Blades-UK. I'm exceptionally green with my knowledge of swords but my interest was ignited with two recent happenings; 1) had a 4 hour light training session with various swords & 2) watching the entire series of Spartacus....
