Re: Photos of swords

99% of photos on BUK are taken by the owner. What sword are you looking at?

Re: Buying a sword

Neither are functional, strictly for display only. Best to save a few more pennies if you're after a functional sword from the functional section.

Re: Standing sword case?

I've been looking for display cases for years, no where sells them. Only thing you can do really is find someone willing to make one for ya. Look for a local framing shop, they might be able to help.

Re: Broadsword and scabbard

First time I've seen it. I would say price would be an indicator as to its functionality no? I understand BUK can get Darksword Amouries swords in, you just need to phone and ask.

Re: Origin of hanwei swords and japanese makes

My aunt learnt the value of my Chen's earlier this year when an ambulance was called out for me and the paramedic decided to go mooching around my sword collection. My aunt thought they we're worth next to worthless, he set her straight. Cow has her eyes on them now lol.

Better still if you can stretch your budget then skip the whole kill bill business and get yourself paul chen practical katana. Trust me you'll thank me for it.

Re: kill bill set

Evenstar is a nice bit of kit. As a serious sword collector I personally wouldn't consider the kill bill set, but as a starter piece, especially if you're a fan of the film I say go it.
