sai sword vids

Post by darksun_uk » Tue Jan 24, 2006 7:28 pm

a couple of vids i managed to edit today

view of a completed sai sword made with a naginata blade.

view of cutting a large plastic milk bottle with just the tip of the sword

http://media.putfile.com/bottle-cut

view of a few cuts made on a two matt roll of soaked straw matting with a one inch wood dowel core, the cuts are done with the tip of the sword to test its cutting potential at the tip (not full bodied cuts) with a follow up cut to chop off the piece remaining above the first, the roll is simply secured in a vice by the dowel and then the vice is left free standing to give the target some give and in theory make the target "harder" to get a clean cut on as it is easy to simply knock the vice over if the cut is not "good".

obviously do not attempt this yourself without taking great care and/or whilst under supervision etc etc.

hopefully i can get a few vids of flipping with the sai swords up in due course.

kind regards
