got a tamahagane sword before ban

Postby quench » Fri Mar 28, 2008 10:06 pm

I am over the moon :D . I bought the Dynasty Daiymo is Turbulent wave. I will post some pictures later in the week. It will be great for display, and eventually for shinken practice after the sensei decides I am experienced enough. I was hit with a COD however.

Man those are nice blades. I've seen them used a couple of times and they are definately fit for purpose.

On a personal note though I've never understand though why anyone would go out and spend 1,000.00 pounds on one of those swords, when you could save for a couple more years (which is how long it will take as a minimum before you'll be safely using a shinken) and just buy a genuine Shinken from Japan for about 3.5K.....which isn't in any way effected by the ban. I mean sure 30 hours of polishing may sound impressive, but....yeah, I'm yet to find anything to compare to the hand made, Japanese blades my sensei and some of the more senior students use.

That having been said, Dynasty Forge do make very nice blades.

I want to see some pictures. :GGG
