I know this subject is probably lurking on these boards somewhere but I cant be arsed to look. I have recently bought an autumn bamboo katana and it came with a neat little box of goodies but what is the dinky little hammer for?

The hammer unscrews and you will have a little peg, you then re screw the hammer head on, then you tap the bamboo pegs out of the handle to disassemble the katana, DO NOT DO THAT UNLESS IT'S VITAL, you most certainly will end up with a wobbly handle if you don't know what your doing, I learnt that with the egret ninja sword, there was a large shim of wood holding the tang to the tsuka, damaged the pegs and bent the brass hammer lol
