Geordie Ross wrote:James can I ask how do the reenactment groups work? Is it choreographed or tactical?
The public battles are choreographed in terms of where the units go how they fight who wins and the movement of veichles ( we have willys jeeps, German tank, a german halftrack etc) and when we join with other groups also tanks and artillery we also use pyrotechnics to simulate mortar/artillery fire and sometimes grenades

The private battles however are tactical Capturing objectives etc bit like airsofting or more tactical paintballing.

Must say its great fun

There's bound to be some war of the roses reenactment groups round yorkie land, but you may need to travel a bit to get there

Hi blademaster

They are around at Sheffield fayre we have a multi period event and there's roman medieval American civil war and ww2 I'll see if I can find out who the medieval lot were. I know someone in a Viking reenactment group if that's not too early? He said they can up to the first crusade as it was the same equipment
