CGI Katana

Postby kirisute » Thu Jan 10, 2008 3:54 pm

i do alot of digital artwork..including producing high quality 3d models of swords and weaponary for people to use in their 3d renders....
i thought you guys and gals might be interested in seeing some of my work.....

the katana i try to reproduce as authenitcally as possible..ie: it is actually possible to pull appart the 3d model and see all the component parts of the katana as seperate pieces....
they are not perfect but im pleased with how they turn out...

the textures are hand painted...however the blade textures are actually photographic references of antique blades.

if anybody uses 3d software and would like to have these models and many more weapons and suchlike then please dont hesitate to let me know...they are OBJ format and fully textured.....suitable for software like Bryce, or Vue, Poser etc etc

Hi

I work in design and am use to looking at 3D and can use AutoCAD. Just wanted to say top quality work.

Is that in 3D Studio MAX?

Cheers

PS Come April perhaps we could buy virtual swords?

this is Rhino...i have used max but never got to grips with it.....rhino does what i need quickly and easily...and allows me to export into the programs i use most.
