Postby the blade master » Fri Nov 11, 2011 2:39 pm

hi guys
just had a delivery of three of lawrences finest cutting irons
the gil hibben damascus old west bowie with 24 carat gold plated brasswork at 20.50 inches in lenght and a very nice hardwood handle
the gil hibben old west toothpick stainless blade and fittings hardwood handle at just short of 18 inches in lenght
and finally the colt alamo bowie with deer antler handle damascus blade brass blade catcher as dose the hibben bowie
and a brass hand guard the pommel is a brass star the knife is 21 inches in lenght and all three have a decent real leather
sheath each the hibben bowie sheath has a gold plated star on the sheath.

apparently both bowie.s are based on 1830 originals but not sure about the toothpick but it seems to have been in exsistense for some time.

Indeed not to everyones tastes, but its good to have some variety in your collection. I likes the toothpick though it must be said. If you like this kinda stuff then try and find yourself a Cold Steel Laredo Bowie, as its one of the best knives I've ever purchased.

hi geordie
as im in a bungalow space is at a premium here most gear is in storage in a very large chest in the back room if you want to call it that its four foot by nine most of thats taken up by a freezer and a tumble drier i would just love a glass cabinate just to display the knive in but as the only spare corner has my pc gear in it in the sitting room ive only a couple of shelves above it i can display my pieces in so all i can do is rotate stuff around every so often, In the bedroom theres two racks of eight katanas i can move my swords around on.
