Au contraire my friend, the Sorbus Aucuparia is a bit like the women around Esher, it responds well to a bit of rough handling.Geordie Ross wrote:Lol bet you worked up some negative karma while chopping the plantsis that the deluxe folded koto katana?
It's the Purple Ito ( does what it says etc. ) http://blades-uk.com/search_results.php?q=purple+ito... about as cheap as they come, but a surprisingly well put together sword at that sort of price ~ a good first sword which I would recommend to anyone. That said I'm looking forward to taking delivery of the Hanwei Raptor that Lawrence has just emailed me to say is on its' way.

Sigh,...................
Trimming trees with a katana.
Eating yellow snow.
Neither will kill you.
But, not really something to admit to, or brag about.

Mind blowing... children, cats, dogs, beautiful women... and unsheathed steel? Not an equation, is it?the blade master wrote:one afternoon of daftnes no chance

Yes, and after all this time, I'M STILL ON YOU ABOUT YOURS !!!bobO wrote:That vid made me cringe for sure. But I for one ( sans kids of course) will forgive a man a moment of daftness.
Especially since unlike SF here, you knew better.
Let me explain.
Among practitioners of the sword arts and serious collectors, triming trees with a katana shows serious disrespect for your blade. Actually you shouldn't trim trees with any kind of sword, but with a katana it is even more of an offense due to the respect shown to the blade in the sword arts.
In reality, it shows an ignorance of knowledge toward bladed weapons.
