Salutations!

Post by Jessica_Zombie » Tue Oct 22, 2013 7:12 pm

Hello, I'm Jessica. I've had this website bookmarked in my phone for a year, always admired the blades. However, I am slightly worried about these age checks. I'm 20+, and the blades that I buy would be gifts for my partner, 30+, who has a rather big like for swords and such. So I'd like to know exactly how information is taken without having contact. Anyone can fake ages on websites, and I don't want my information used for fraudulence. Once I'm sure, I'll be on buying two blaes straight away for sure!

Hi

Best to give the owner Loz a call, he'll be able to talk you through the process and give you reassurances ;)

I have to agree with both of the above, I haven't heard of anyone on this forum suffering from I.D. theft.

I can run an age check now to see if you'd pass if you like, by registering on the forum, you've provided enough information for us already.

'Anyone can fake ages on websites'

anyone can post anything on a website, but those statements can then be verified as true or false, like if someone says I was born in Ely in 1980, we know exactly where to look to verify that.

Loz has a team of dedicated age verification ninjas, as soon as you submit an order, they appear from the shadows :ninja:

well I'll say this much, Trading Standards asked us if we'd help advise other sites how to verify age when they failed the TS test orders.
