DIY belt holder

Post by Big Lazy » Mon Jun 06, 2005 5:44 pm

Came across this design on some random website earlier

and thought to myself "how easy to make does that look... think I'll try it myself"

So I whipped off the very same belt that was holding my jeans up, got out the old trusty Stanley blade and started gluing leather strips together.

the end result is this (sorry for poor light)

Here is it on my GO

and on my customised PPK saya

It works a treat but would obviously be better on viking or knights swords. Simple but effective so they say 8)

good work. You said that all you used was a belt, a knife and glue?

Yup, obviously some good stitching work would be preferable but I ain't skilled enough to sow a button on a shirt let alone stitch thick leather.

Here's a few more pics of it in use

well my mate got drunk... and found a tube of no nails glue.... he glued a chair to a wall and was using a trampoline to bounce up onto the wall onto the chair.... so it held his weight and this guys got about the same build as you larn and it held his weight, so l think the glue should easily hold some leather together :P

Wow!! Did it damage the wall taking it down? Or the chair for that matter? People do some stange things! :|
