Handmade Zangetsu [Cos-Play not real!]

Post by Bondy » Mon May 15, 2006 4:09 pm

Ok im going to be making a handmade zangetsu (bleach).
Ill be adding photos as I make it.
Ive already got my proto-type but it lacks the guard found on ichigo's sword, this will be his shikai im making not his bankai.
Just so ive got an img to use.

Tho the materials ive got are going to make the size a bit smaller.

Size Approx:
6 foot high
15 cm wide

Materials:
Cardboard, Ninja sword, black paint(need to buy), Bandage.

The Proto-type:
Made from a ninja bokken (from B-UK.com), cardboard and a bandage.
Its about the same size as me.

Well im going to miss the anime village in the excel center in london, but it will mostly be like a one off time... but I just remembered im using a ninja sword for the guard and B-UK rules are that it doesnt go into public areas... and seeing how im using it for the handle that would also be classed as a hidden weapon.

So if I go to any Cos-Play Ill use the proto-type (no real weapons) and just have the one with the sword in it for collection.

***Incase some retard looking for any reason to bad mouth blades leaps on the comment? Yeh alright point ackowledged, though I think for this instance thats not exactly applicable. And if I was trynna argue with your decision then I woulda re-done the post, no disrespect intended your holiness***

Btw if you wanna have another stab (badcumcha!) at making that sword it probably wouldnt be all that hard to make it out of a single peice of wood. Splash of metallic paint and something to seal it and you'd have something which is more durable.

Reckon I would too :) Anyone ever see the Kilgoren/Sword of Darkness II? I bought one for a friend for I think £45, he paid me back for it, no more was said. Recently I've fancied getting it for myself, now I can't find it for any cheaper than £90!! It's insane! For just a wallhanger :|

But yeah, the point of which, I love having big swords on the wall :) Looks wicked

Y'know looking at that I reckon you could make a really good one with a wooden mould and some fibre glass.
