Custom Hell Fire Katana Set (Dragon Fire)

Postby cybernex » Mon Feb 19, 2007 2:42 pm

Hi All

As i'm now finally back online, I thought it was about time i shared with you my first ever custom katana job that i did just over 3 years ago.

Image

This photo isn't the best but you get the idea,
I call them Dragon Fire Katana's.

What i did was remove the Tsuba's & Koiguchi's and change them with the Tsuba's & Koiguchi's off of a set of anciant warrior wooden flying dragon katana's (both lots of swords were made by anciant warrior so the parts were interchangable).

the reason i did it was because i always wanted a set of flying dragon katana in red but all i could get a few years ago was them in Black, Blue or Wood!

By the way don't worry about wastage i made some pritty sweet swords out of the remains (they made great X Mas gifts for friends).

Beastin mate, now your understanding why i spliced & diced to to get these kat blades looking the way they do now, There's a very simular serpant tsuba out there aswell where part of the scabbard collar gose through the tsuba to make a snakes head and tail appear to be part of the tsuba (its a neat looking SS Cobra Kat with brass fittings).

If i only poasted this two years ago and you commented on it back then, I could have sent you one in tarnished gold (i had one going spare)!

i don't suppose you could email loz where you got the original set with those tsubas so he can get some in to sell on this site?

I'm affraid the site where i got the wooden flying dragons from has closed down, one of loz's dodgy rivals called B****S U*******D (you should be able to peice that back together).

So all i can say is Ebay & Google are your friends, But I'll keep my eyes open and tell you if i see them (and try not to break forum rules), Remember your looking for WOODEN DRAGON KATANA.

Nice dude! Have the Wak and Tanto myself. As swords they're pretty poor, but they were only my third and second purchases and they arrived when I was watching Fist of Fury for the millionth time so pretty dandy memories there.
