DIY Custom Scabbards

I have a 13th centuray bastard sword
and would like 2 make a scabbard for it i have done this kindy thing b4 but i cant think of any way that i could make a leather scabbard for this sword because of the side rings on it as i want all the blade covered. so if any u guys have any idears i would live 2 hear them

i belive there might be one available for you which is the same type used by the scottish two handed sword the first two feet of the blade goes into a scabbard the rest of the sword is held against a leather backing strap by tying the handle down with a strap and the whole lot is worn against the back have a look at one made for the william wallace sword :D
