It does fire but only about 50 feet put a good hole in wheely bin with it. It was £37 their was two bigger ones for 80 and 95 quid which really tempted me lol and cheers Geordie I like it too :mrgreen:

You should have invested in them mate you could flog them on to a collector for a big profit after you admire them for a while, is it antique or replica mate?

Only if i could find the supplier theirs no point buying them from a shop lol

and its a repro £37 for an antique 15th century would be madness lol

now get the sheath sorted with a load of baby/mineral oil let it soak in then a good coat of dubbin
that will stop it cracking falling apartput some oil on the blade too

Yeah mate its a proper Ka-Bar USMC version its a brilliant knife chuffed with it. Yeah ive seen a few v-42's around but they weren't used that much as yanks preferred general purpose knifes (over a million Ka-Bars were issued) as they kept trying to open cans of food with the v-42 and fairbairns and promptly breaking them, and the yanks were issued with fairbairn aswell it would be great to find a US stamped one :D
