Foundations of the euro display

Postby Geordie Ross » Sat May 19, 2012 4:20 pm

Well here's a start, may substitute the union jack shield with a Scottish targe, and mix and change some areas, it's just the basics so far.
Ohh PS. Any ideas on what else to display and where/how to do it would be much appreciated ;)

Lol the union jack is a plastic fancy dress thing, I'm gonna get a Scottish targe instead, may paint it black and white, not sure how to paint leather though? And yea it's in my front room along with the katana display, and only the missus parents don't like them, win win situation really ;)

You can buy paint for leather can't you? don't know where you'd find it, maybe Amazon marketplace you could probably find someones granny for sale on there if you looked hard enough.

Not sure how well that will work I've used it on cracks/ deep scuffs on my boots and leather jackets before. it tends to just crack. I have to mix it with gummy glue like Uhu apply a few coats giving them time to dry and then stipple it to get it to look like/blend in with the leather.

Man I'm such a tight arse

Lol the shelf is strait, just a wonky pic, ad apparently acrylic paint is the best to use on leather, not sure what the leather is like yet because I haven't got it yet, lol

Well have a tube of Uhu handy in case it's needed that will do the job but obviously you have to work fast. I was using the Warhammer paints which is much thiner then normal picture painting acrylic but maintains the depth of colour (I use it for my Gunpla).

Normal picture painting acrylic I found to be crappy for repairing my leather stuff.
