Does it have any texture to it? Or is it perfectly smooth to the touch? Try giving it a lick rub lol

seriously tho try a drop of white spirits or turps substitute on a paper kitchen
towel and see if that moves it wont hurt the blade either

Vodka would work, make sure all the alcohol has evaporated from the blade then put a fresh coat of ren wax or oil on

Actually in the cold light of day after my attack with an architects rubber/eraser and a muslin square last night it does look a lot better I can only see it now if I hunt for it, I've decided to leave it at that, its got a few nicks in the cutting edge, a few scratches its never gonna be comparable to the ppk so I am just going to add that funny pale line to the list of unique features.

Don't try stealing my blade I can recognise it :mrgreen:

Its all waxed up and on the stand now to buy a shirasaya now or after thr credit card bills been paid hmmmmm :S
