downunder bush mate

Postby the blade master » Tue Dec 17, 2013 12:55 pm

hi guys
just got another piece from downunder knives called the bush mate
its up to the usuall high downunder standard with a very nicely polished
mirror finished 4 inch blade sharp as razor and I mean sharp 6mm thick
as with the other down under pieces it has a leather handle with a brass butcap
and a brass bolster the handle is 4.50 inches long the sheath is real leather black
with the b.m initials stamped on it(nice bonus) expensive yes but worth every penny
and bought from bucks order took 9 days from order to delivery not at all bad as it
came from the states (as ive said else where if theres owt you want that's not listed
on the site call Lawrence and he will get it for you) saves fannying around on other
sites and safer too
mick

That blade geometry is gorgeous. It kind of looks like the tip of a katana. Did you say the handle is leather? It looks more like wood in that pic.

Are you mad lone wolf?! I love that handle, it makes a pleasant change from the usual glossed wood. (Although I do have concerns over the durability of the leather)

I think you will find Geordie if you treat the leather properly with some decent
leather food? it will last a life time and then some :D I use carrs leather oil myself
