expendables legionaire bowie

Postby the blade master » Thu Jan 09, 2014 11:53 am

hi guys
the legionair bowie from the expendables 2 film landed on my doorstep this morning its finished to a very high standard
indeed a cracking high polish on the metal work a nice pakkawood handle extreamly sharp blade 9.50 ins long and a handle
length of 5.25 ins makes this a large beast indeed blade is 0.25 ins thick a very nice item from united cutlery.

one thing ive forgot to add is the sheath while strictly speaking its leather its the reconstituted
stuff with some sort of resin/binder makes it very hard/brittle if your going to use the knife thats
not a problem if your going to keep it as a show piece keep the two as far away as you can from each
other as one will certanly ruin the look of the other you can allways get a replacement sheath made
with proper leather that you can treat with leather conditioner for about £40 from some guy i know who,s
a craftsman in leather

7CR17 is the Chinese equivalent of 440A stainless steel Mick. ;)

BTW
Is the sheath maker you know named Atkinson?
