Orcrist Sword (The Hobbit)

Postby Krayg » Mon May 05, 2014 1:10 am

Hi all, this is my first post.

i'm very interested in the united cutlery replica of Orcrist, the sword of Thorin from The Hobbit. I'm just wondering has anyone on this forum purchased it from the site? This would be my first order so of course i'm a bit skeptical. I just want some reassurance that the sword i would be recieving would be the one shown in the picture, as there are reviews of the United Cutlery one online and wouldn't want to receive a different product. Thanks

Blades does indeed sell the UC version of Orcrist. I'm a big LOTR's collector but haven't picked it up myself yet.

Hi there

Im quite possibly the most prolific UC LOTR collector hanging around here these days (as you can tell from some of my collection here) & I can confirm that the UC version sold by Blades-uk is "legit" - I've not had time to wall mount the Orchist but I do have some pictures from when I unboxed it - copy below (click to zoom).

Hope that puts your mind to rest :) Just make sure you select the UC version and not the Noble one!

Regards

Mello.

same here. I saw one video and thought it looked ok, but another video made it look horrible when the light bounced off it.

Oh wow! that is a really nice piece.

i will most probably get round to ordering one of these soon, it will be my first purchase from you guys. So i hope you don't run out of stock anytime soon! :>.

I also feel it's a shame about the scabbard with imitation wood, but i may just pick one up anyways.

Some of the LOTR's stuff is getting pretty rare now. Last I heard the limited edition Anduril (on my wall) is selling for a cool £800

Remember the first time UC stopped making Glamdring - I panic bought one off ebay for £510 lol - only for them to start making them again a year or so later - sigh.
