funny old world

Postby pjm » Thu May 02, 2013 6:27 pm

as some of you know i got done when buying a sword, a chen Practical Plus Katana, well today a guy i know walked into my shop looking to sell a few of his swords, older guy, been buying weapons of all sorts for years, he mentioned he had a japanese sword for sale and told me it was a Paul Hanwei so i told him its a Paul Chen Hanwei and i would indeed be happy to look at it to see if i was interested in it,

of he goes and returns 30 mins later, turns out is a Paul Chen sword from the practical plus range, not sure which one it is altho i do know it aint the light and i dont think its th xl, iam more inclined to say its the Practical Plus Elite Katana, £125, yep ill have that thank you very much, its in mint condition apart from a little dent in the saya which you can see unless yer looking for it
If i didn't have bad luck i would have no luck at all

That's the practical pro katana, I've got one too, quite similar to the Chen musashi miyamoto.
Pics?

I got one too, my boyfriend works at a pawn shop jewelry things only, he comes home with some strange things sometimes that people have left when they've refused them, mostly silver the shop doesn't take silver it says so everywhere but I think some people mistake refusal for stuff being worthless, I got an 1861 silver pen knive because someone dumped it and walked off and he's just come in now and given me a 1937 silver crown.

Do you get any gaming stuff in cos I might be interested?

Ah I see, the practical pro has leather ito and is very long, like nearly 50 inches in its saya lol
There's so many in the practical range it gets confusing lol

The practical plus has leather a crisanthemum yes I can't spell it designed tsuba that can be mistaken for a sunburst is about 46 inches and the saya has a sort of rough texture like its dipped in flock before painting black, the ornaments are golden oriental lions if that helps.

Yea I think you got the original practical plus, I had the ppk elite, that was sublime to handle, not as fond of the faux leather ito. Either way, you got it for a steal at 125
