Sageo Help

Postby tombeck » Sun May 16, 2010 12:38 am

Hi all
I just tied my new sageo in the display knot, at the moment it is a 3x3 knot however have alot of cord left.
I tried a 4x4 knot but there wasnt enough cord to run through the knots.
Is it ok to cut the ends off? or will that ruin the cord?
It's only artificial silk as i couldnt find the colour i wanted in genuine silk.
I will post a picture up when i have the chance,
Thanks

Valid point, although the sageo disforms very quickly as i found out from the 4x4 knot fail, but here are some pictures of it, do you think the left over cord is too long?
(sorry for the very bad quality, taken on an old phone)

hi just shorten the two big loops by half then trim the two long pieces level with the loop ends
then the tiniest drop of super glue to stop the ends fraying should be fine

Hi blademaster, i realised i said id give you feedback on how it went, but in the end i decided to keep it how it was rather than shorten it. I dont think it looks too bad this way, but thanks anyway.

I read in another post that you have an impressive collection of swords, do you have any photots on the site? cheers :D
