Hi , I'm thinking of buying an Edocha folded katana to use in my Iaido class , can anyone tell me if these katana can be disassembled for cleaning etc

Re: Folded katana
Yes, it can be disassembled, though I advise against it as the fittings may become loose. I also advise against using sharp strong steel for iaido. Use blunted alloys, or wooden blades.
The sword in question doesn't have a protected koiguchi (lip of the sheath) and repetitive drawing and sheathing will likely damage it.
