New buyer in need of help

Post by GallowLad » Mon Dec 22, 2014 4:36 pm

Hey there,
New to this forum and to buying swords. I have never bought one before and want to but I'm worried about getting mugged off since i don't know a lot about them. So the sort of swords I'm looking for are English 16-17 Century civil war swords like the Mortuary-sword or the Basket-Hilted sword. Really just wondering where I can get a good quality one and how much I should expect to pay for it. any help would be grand.

Cheers.

2 too consider are the sir William marshall sword and the tinker pearse
long sword as for owt else some one will be along shortly and give you some good
advice on buying a European sword but it all depends on your price range but be
prepared to pay for something decent
