Wont hurt any if you cut with the oil on the blade just remember to wipe and re oil after.

The oil will protect the blade a little bit, leave it on.

Way I see it, oil is, well oily! And thus, slippery - so will help the blade ease through whatever it is you're cutting. So leave it on is my vote. Wipe it off and reoil when done though. Also, oil is used as a barrier in many applications - so may help to reduce staining of the blade.

Cut with oil on, after cutting wipe & reoil.
Thats how i would do.

Cut with the oil on the blade, just make sure you wipe the blade afterwards and give it a fresh coat of oil.
