handforged wine katana
What does full tang and double pegged mean?
Re: handforged wine katana
Tang is the bit of the sword that goes into the handle if its full that means it extends all the way down the handle, if its full tang it will be secured into the handle via two pegs you can see them on most katana often covered on one side by a fancy metal bit showing flowers or a dragon or something.
If its not full tang its normally single pegged as the tang of the sword only goes half way if that into the handle.
