some questions about purchase a sword
some questions about purchase a sword
Hi there,
I just have some questions regards to buy a sword, because i had bad exprience buy sword online and it didn't shipping to me due to the reason of the law.
so I wonder, do I need license to own a sword and purchase from your website? for example join in a iaido club or something?
secondly, what does "practical plus" mean in the Chen Katana. It says no license needed, so if I buy it online, how long would it take to ship to me, I live in stains next to terminal 5.

Re: some questions about purchase a sword
In the UK you don't need a licence to buy a traditionally handforged katana. Blades UK is without a doubt the best site in the UK to buy a reasonably priced sword and the shipping will only be something like a few days. Also from what i've heard the Practical plus is a very good sword.

okay, so for clen sword if it says no license needed then I would concider to buy it. And under the hand forged sword, it didnt mention about the license so do i need it? in actually interesting to buy the Folded Tachi Katana, is it sharp?

Both the folded tachi and the practical plus are great swords, all the sword in the "handforged" section are legal to own, most of the Chen katanas are legal with the exception of some iaido swords.aotora wrote:okay, so for clen sword if it says no license needed then I would concider to buy it. Use a bokken with a saya, join a iaido club, get your licence, then buy a specialised iaido sword. I can't recommend you use a sharp blade for iaido, that's just a disaster waiting to happen.
